![]() ![]() I'd say it's good for a first time player for 2 reasons: it's a piece of history, and the nature of it will prepare you for any other diablo game as I feel if you have the patience and fortitude (pun intended) to get skilled at playing D2, you'll at least be able to become adept at D3 and likely D4. But it still holds the classic arpg feel which is unforgiving, can be extremely punishing for fuck ups, and very little hand holding. ![]() A few other controller settings I don't believe are mentioned outright, like healing your mercenaryĭ2 is very different. It took me a while to figure out all bindings were there as the game didn't seem to announce it. aesthetics and I don't feel like it's aged wellĮdit: make sure to bind your controller settings in the last skills page. I can't get myself to play D3, for me it just reeks of W.O.W. There are a few clunky inventory aspects, but besides that you're mostly just missing the new dodge button. The remaster is very well done (and you can toggle on/off the original for serious wow moments) But in general once you get rolling it feels so similar to D4 beta in terms of dark environment, monsters and mechanics. I am super impressed with the game from Act IV forwards. Graphics and dark atmosphere are great, but the monsters and spells might seem tame for the first act (especially if coming straight from D4). Not sure if I'll be back when D4 is released, but I'm really enjoying it.
